Who I am
Trading as von Tell, London. I’m responsible for the personal information described here. Contact: hello@vontell.co.uk.
What I collect
Business contacts and prospects: your name, job title, company, business email and phone number, LinkedIn profile, and notes of our conversations.
Clients: in addition, information needed to carry out the work, such as space requirements, hiring plans and budgets you share with me, and, where the law requires it, identity details for anti-money-laundering checks.
Where it comes from
From you directly; from publicly available sources such as LinkedIn, company websites and Companies House; from business databases; and from people who introduce us.
Why I use it, and the legal basis
To contact you about my services and keep in touch professionally: my legitimate interest in developing my business, which I balance against your interests. You can opt out at any time.
To provide services to clients: to perform our agreement, or take steps towards one.
To meet legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering checks, tax and accounting records.
Who I share it with
Landlords, operators and their agents, only as needed for your search and with your agreement.
Service providers that support my business, such as email and document storage.
Professional advisers, such as my accountant, and authorities where the law requires it.
I don’t sell personal information.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of my service providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place, as required by UK data protection law.
How long I keep it
Prospects and contacts: up to two years from our last contact, unless we start working together.
Clients: six years after our work ends, for tax and legal purposes.
Anti-money-laundering records: five years after the business relationship ends, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask me to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or restrict how I use it. You can object to my using it, and if you object to being contacted about my services, I’ll stop. To do any of this, email hello@vontell.co.uk.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though I’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
I’ll update this notice if how I handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
